Urban dwellers collective manifesto

UPDATE: Read the collective “Urban Dwellers Manifesto” here. Let’s imagine the future of our cities, together. What do our high streets look like? Parks? Work place? Do we walk more? What makes us happy? After a year like 2020, we felt that Cooltsalon’s motto #unitedwecreate really needs to come forward. It is what motivated us to open a call for written thoughts, ideas and suggestions, to produce a collective “manifesto” of what it means to be a city dweller, now and in the (foreseeable) future. At the core of our work is the desire to expand the notion of “creative”,…

“The Invisible Enemy” exhibition

Cooltsalon is hosting Shahar Tuchner’s solo exhibition The Invisible Enemy, 27 June-10 July: right here, on our website. Initiated and curated by the artist himself, it’s a ‘viral’ project: appearing and populating different sites, emulating the coronavirus. The content will become ‘live’ on the homepage on Saturday, 27 June, 17:00 UTC. The exhibition consists of works from different years before the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic, which are relevant to this period of social isolation and the new day-to-day behaviour that we all need to adopt and act upon, as well as new works created during this time. The artworks range in…

Cisco Webex and Cooltsalon: supporting ART during unprecedented time

For the second consecutive year, Cisco supports and enables the Cooltsalon platform in delivering its projects. This year, artists, curators and participants will be reunited for ‘Cooltzine’ creative conference around the topic “CHANGES”. Following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on venue operations and attendance, we have been able to reformat the event as purely digital, allowed by Cisco’s Webex platform, with participants in each panel discussion connected in a live video transmission, and be able to not only present but interact with each other and hear audience questions in real time. There is an unprecedented increase in remote working…

Simultaneous Exhibition 2019: Sofia, Belgrade, London

On 18 May 2019, three cities will explore together the idea of a shared space by taking part in Cooltsalon’s international collaboration project, which manifests in a one-day exhibition event, happening simultaneously across 3 time zones. What is being exhibited is not just works of international creatives but, actually, the premises and line of business of each hosting partner: Stour Space (London), MOVE.BG (Sofia) and Papergirl Galerija Hub (Belgrade). All discussions and Q&A sessions will be conducted in ENGLISH. In times of political uncertainty across Europe and the UK, from unknown Brexit status to redefined borders, the 2019 edition explores…

Partner Network

Cooltsalon doesn’t own a space, but we produce site-specific projects and events in collaboration with many wonderful collectives across the globe. These places are as diverse as the cities they’re in and the people who run them, but their uniting factor is their active role in sustaining socially engaged activities and nurturing ideas, change and collaboration. Next time you’re in town, do pop in. In the meantime, our online and offline map is ever-growing (check out below), and we look forward to discovering new hosting partners along the way!
